Reaching our objective requires developing the whole individual with the desire and ability to serve mankind. Instruction, activities and experiences go beyond facts and routine solutions to help students develop deep understanding and wisdom in application of what they learn to benefit society.
Advanced learning is built on a solid base of information and knowledge. This is the base camp for the journey to the educational pinnacle of wisdom. Experience and use of knowledge in creative problem solving, application, design, or synthesis develops understanding. The higher educational plateau of understanding includes innovative modeling, designing, developing, and creating useful processes, products, and applications. It is exhibited in an ability to work with diverse peoples and cultures in applying engineering principles and design. The height sought is wisdom, characterized by value-based decisions that are insightful, correct, and beneficial to the human condition, grounded in personal commitment to values, life-long learning, ethics in professional work, and integrity in personal life.
Program, curriculum, and course rubrics show the expected outcomes at the educational levels mentioned above.
