A Very Significant Date: October 8,1999

Alumni: Please put on your calendar a very significant date for 1999: our annual alumni banquet, to be held in conjunction with Homecoming Week at BYU. On October 8, we will have a dinner in the Wilkinson Center. This is your chance to come talk to friends and faculty, enjoy some good BYU food, and then hear an excellent speaker. This year our guest speaker will be Dr; Will Griggs, of the Department of Ancient Scripture at BYU. He is famous for his excavation and studies of Egyptian mummies. He will share some of his experiences and findings with us. It will be a "once-in-a-lifetime" event for our department. Get your plane reservations early so you won't miss it. At the dinner we will also announce our 'Alumnus of the Year.' If you have nominations for an 'Alumnus of the Year," please send them to Bill Pitt by email at pitt@byu.edu. Thank You.
