Consider Joining the Student Chapter of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers

The American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) is a national organization of chemical engineers from all areas of chemical engineering. Student chapters of the AIChE are organized on most major universities, including BYU, and operate under the leadership of student officers. You are encouraged to participate in the student AIChE chapter to form friendships, establish a life of service to others, and learn about the chemical engineering field through the experiences of others. This is worthy of your time and participation,

You can join the BYU AIChE student chapter by signing up and paying a membership fee at the Chemical Engineering Department office, 350 CB.

The Chapter meets one Thursday each month (usually the third Thursday) at 11:00-11:50am, usually in 256 CB. Topics of the Chapter meetings range are varied but include…

• guest speakers from professional chemical engineers

• reports from upper classmen about the internships they had

• instructions on why and how you should start NOW to look for a summer job

A schedule of AIChE meetings and activities are available on the AIChE site
