General Requirements (12 hours)

  1. Obtain departmental approval of proposed technical electives.
  2. Complete 2 hours of chemistry laboratory [Chem 213(2*), 353(1 or 2), or 464 (1 or 2)].
  3. Complete 6 hrs. of advanced (> 300 level) engineering course work from one of the following departments: ChE, CE, ECE, ME or the School of Technology.
  4. Complete 4 hrs. of advanced (> 300 level) course work from an engineering, math, science, or business (EMSB) department.

    No more than 3 hours of ChEn 498R may be applied to the program.

**Hours include courses that may fulfill G.E. or university requirements.

Note:  Several example electives are shown below. Students may design their own elective to match their individual interests.  The elective must meet the general requirements listed above.  The elective must be submitted for department approval as part of the professional program application.
