General Requirements (19 hours)

  1. Obtain departmental approval of proposed option.
  2. Complete 2 hours of mathematics or statistics (300+)
  3. Complete 5 hours of engineering (300+)
  4. Complete 7 hours of advanced chemistry (300+)

  5. of which at least 2 must be laboratory hours.  Advanced chemistry is defined as being 300 level or above with the following exceptions; 213 is acceptable; Chem 367 and 391 are not acceptable; Only one hour of Chem 497R is acceptable.
  6. Fill remaining hours with advanced technical electives (300+)
  7. No more than 2 hours of ChEn 498R or Chem 497R may be applied to the option requirements.

Note:  Several example options are shown below. Students may design their own option to match their individual interests.  The option must meet the general requirements listed above.  The option must be submitted for department approval as part of the professional program application.
