Undergraduate Scholarships in Utah

Kennecott Scholarship

Provided by the Kennecott Corporation, the Kennecott Scholarship is awarded to outstanding
undergraduate students throughout the University of Utah's colleges. The scholarship is for $2,500, which may be granted in addition to the University of Utah Merit Scholarship, the Honors at Entrance Scholarship, or other tuition waiver awards. Each college has specific requirements for the 40 Kennecott Scholarships awarded annually. Kennecott Scholarship recipients become members of the honorary Society of Kennecott Scholars. To be considered for a scholarship you must be a matriculated (degree-seeking) student. Proof of matriculation will be obtained by your college from the Office of Admissions. Completion of a baccalaureate degree ends eligibility for this scholarship. Check with the Kennecott
Scholarship representative in the college of your major for other application materials and interviews. Kennecott scholars must be full time students. To be considered a full time student, a Kennecott scholar must complete at least 24 credit hours within two consecutive semesters
(excluding Summer term).
