ACET mentoring events Nov. 10 & 11

Register by November 1 to be mentored by successful professionals

Students in the Ira A. Fulton College will have the opportunity to be mentored by successful professionals as part of the college's Advancement Council for Engineering and Technology (ACET) conference November 10 and 11.

ACET members are friends and alumni of the college that have a wide variety of professional and leadership experience.  Many have served as CEOs, vice presidents or founders of their companies. 

ACET members in attendance at the 2016 conference include: 

  • Mary Peery, former senior vice president, Hewlett Packard
  • Phil Carmack, CEO, PsiKick and former CEO, Aptina Imaging
  • Brad Brown, president, ATL Technology
  • Cal Alexander, former VP Global Operations, BD Medical
  • Thomas Ingersoll, former president and CEO, Skybox Imaging
  • John Wheatley, VP of development, Symphony Homes
  • Nancy & Doug Ferrell, founder and president, respectively, Patrell Engineering
  • Clayton Patch, director - fab, IM Flash Technologies
  • ...and many other similarly accomplished individuals and their spouses.

Students can participate in two events:

Mentoring Dinner for Seniors – Thursday, November 10, 2016 6:00-8:15 p.m., Hinckley Center Assembly Hall

Senior students and their spouses, if applicable, are invited to attend a dinner where they are personally mentored by ACET members. Dress is professional.  Please visit by Nov. 1 to register for the senior event. Seating is limited and the event fills quickly.

Department Activity – Friday, November 11, 2016 1:00-2:00 p.m., Various locations

Each department and the School of Technology will host their own mentoring events for junior-level students.  The ACET members will provide students with advice on a variety of topics, including career preparation, leadership and more.  Dress is business casual.  Space is limited, so please check with your department to register
