BYU earns IFMA Student Chapter of the Year

Brigham Young University received the 2015 IFMA Student Chapter of the Year award at the recent World Workplace conference in Denver for the 12th time since 1998.

The International Facility Management Association gives this award to “the chapter that best demonstrates an overall commitment to building a future in the facility management profession.” IFMA is the world's largest and most widely recognized international association for facility management professionals.

“Our program is, and has been, a strong leader in FM education,” said Kyle Jardine, a former BYU IFMA president. “Our students are committed and want to contribute to the industry. We provide great students to our contacts in the industry who in turn provide great careers. We have an excellent program that will continue to improve.”

Because Jardine was president of the chapter while it was being considered for the award, he accepted the award for the students. Several members of the chapter attended the conference to network with professionals and to hunt for jobs and internships.
