Nelson Selected for American Welding Society Award

  Tracy Nelson, Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Brigham Young University, was selected by his peers to be a co-recipient of the Adams Memorial Membership Award from the American Welding Society (AWS). This award recognizes educators for outstanding teaching activities in their undergraduate and postgraduate engineering institutions. Dr. Nelson is a recognized leader in the area of friction stir welding and the past recipient of the AWS Professor Kiochi Massubuchi Award, the Warren F. Savage Memorial Award, and the International Henry Granjon Award. Dr. Nelson will receive the award at the 2004 AWS Annual Convention on April 6, 2004, in Chicago, Illinois.
