David K. Anthony received a B.S. from the University of Utah. After graduation he worked for Exxon Corporation in the refinery audit department doing environmental and construction audits. He returned to the University of Utah and completed an MBA and returned to Exxon as a programmer/analyst.

In 1976 he took a job with Mohawk Petroleum (Reserve Gas and Oil) and became manager of construction for a new refinery. Upon completion of the refinery he assumed the job of director of planning and budgets for the corporation.

He returned to Utah in 1981 and started work with the LDS Church and in 1985 was appointed manager of information systems in the information systems department. That same year he was given a temporary assignment with the LDS Foundation.

In 1990 he was asked to come to BYU as Assistant Dean. He is currently an Assistant Dean of Engineering and Technology.

He and his wife, Sherrie, are the parents of five children.
