Craig Smith, longtime faculty member in the mechanical engineering department, passed away on Monday morning from complications related to cancer. His funeral will be this Saturday, Sep. 6, at 2:00 p.m. at the Edgemont 8th Ward chapel (3050 N. Mojave Lane, Provo).
The Fulton College will host its third annual conference for its Advancement Council for Engineering and Technology (ACET) Sept. 18–20. As part of the conference, BYU engineering and technology students will get the opportunity to interact with successful professionals from a variety of industries.
At this year's University Conference, BYU's most prestigious award went to Electrical and Computer Engineering professor David G. Long. Five other Fulton College faculty members were also honored.
A team of Brigham Young University student engineers designed an innovative and cost-effective apparatus that enables impoverished East African women to turn abundant coconuts into valuable coconut oil.
