Experience:
Serves as chair of the Construction Management program.. Jay is a licensed general contractor and has built over 200 custom homes and done consulting work for many residential builders. He worked for a large industrial contractor in project controls, scheduling and cost control.
He is a frequent speaker at the International Builder’s Show and other industry conferences. He specializes in developing computer solutions in management, communication, and estimating for construction companies. He is the developer of Estimator Pro, an Excel-based estimating program for builders and remodelers.
Jay is the author of NAHB’s best selling Estimating with Excel: Keys to Unlocking the Power for Builders. He is co-author of Homebuilder Press’ Keys to Estimating Success, Estimating For Builders and Remodelers, and Building Quality
