Welcome to the homepage of the BYU UAV Senior Project. This project involves
four-five competing teams composed of senior students in Electrical
Engineering, Computer Science, and Mechanical Engineering. These BYU teams will
compete in April using a competition format similar to the

National AUVSI UAV competition in June in Washington D.C. The main objective of
the competition is to use an Unmanned Air Vehicle (UAV) to navigate a
prescribed course and obtain information about ground targets at unknown
locations. This will involve building and using an autonomous aircraft,
developing computer vision algorithms, and enhancing the control software to
improve the behavior of the airplanes. Students selected from this class will
represent BYU at the national competition in June.
