Competencies: The general course attribute which pertains to this class is 6.1: Understand and apply the basic principles of Water Resource Engineering. You will be expected to learn the following competencies within attribute 6.1: 6.1.1 Understand and apply climatological principles relating to precipitation and its occurrence and interaction within the biosphere of the earth. 6.1.2 Understand and calculate precipitation/runoff situations; including calculation of the flow rates at desired points in a watershed. 6.1.3 Understand and make calculations concerning flowrate hydrographs, reservoir storage, and water demand relationships at a point in a stream. 6.1.4 Understand and be able to make calculations related to ground water flow, well flow analysis and design, and drainage of saturated soils. |
