Our Office is here to guide you through your Practicum Internship. Please refer to this site for continued updates and information about Practicum and the TLF. You may use this site to submit most forms (including the weekly reports), and obtain additional information.

Getting an Internship

The TLF office will help students find internships any way we can, but the responsibility is ultimately the students.

The following information may help:

  • The students in the MFG391R class and who are seniors are the TLF's main priority.
  • MFG391R students will be notified of current openings by email.
  • Students should be assertive and proactive. The list of Practicum Companies page lists companies that have had interns in the past. The contact information is not listed for privacy reasons, but you should be able to search for it.

Internship Requirements

  • Registration for the class musts be done with an add/drop card. Come in to the TLF Office in 270 CTB to get a card filled out and signed.
  • The internship must be completed during the semester the student is registered for the MFG399R class. Regular tuition applies for the 3 credit class.
  • The Internship includes 180 hours (60 hours/credit) or more.
  • The Internship should be related to manufacturing.
