The Fulton College will host its third annual conference for its Advancement Council for Engineering and Technology (ACET) Sept. 18–20.
As part of the conference, BYU engineering and technology students will get the opportunity to interact with successful professionals from a variety of industries. ACET participants include former and current presidents, vice presidents and CEOs of companies like Hewlett-Packard, Jacobsen Construction, and NMB Technologies.
Senior students and their spouses are invited to a mentoring dinner Thursday evening, Sept. 18 in room 3220 of the Wilkinson Student Center. The meal is provided at no cost to students and online registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Dress is Sunday attire.
Junior students can attend a free mentoring luncheon Friday, Sept. 19 at noon in the Clyde Building lounge. Junior students must register online in advance by clicking here. Dress for this luncheon is business casual.
For the second year in a row, the conference will also host the Women’s Leadership Forum, an hour-long panel session for students to ask questions of and get advice from accomplished women in the fields of engineering and technology. That will be Thursday, Sept. 18 at 4:00 p.m. in the lounge of the Crabtree Technology Building, and is co-sponsored by the BYU Society of Women Engineers and ACET.
Formed in 2006, the Advancement Council for Engineering and Technology supports and enhances the efforts of the Fulton College. ACET consists of industry professionals, alumni, donors and other individuals that assist the college in extending its reach and providing exceptional learning opportunities for students.
