BYU to host events for Engineering and Technology Week 2018

The BYU Ira A. Fulton College of Engineering and Technology will host events, exhibits and tours in honor of Engineering and Technology Week Tuesday, Feb. 20 – Friday, Feb. 23. All 2018 ET Week events are sponsored by IM Flash Technologies

The Thursday events are free and open to the public.

Tuesday, Feb. 20: Service Project @ 2 p.m.

Thursday, Feb. 22: EngTech Expo

The college’s clubs will provide several interactive activities for middle and high school students at the EngTech Expo. Students will get a hands-on experience with science and technology through activities like designing and launching rockets, making ice cream with liquid nitrogen, programming Lego Mindstorms, controlling toy cars with their brain waves, and much more. They will also get to tour the college’s labs to see engineering and technology in action.

The BYU EngTech Expo shows pre-college students how fun and exciting STEM fields can be! There will be sessions at 8:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m., and 12:30 p.m. in the WSC Garden Court.

Friday, Feb. 23: Dinner and Social
Last day to buy tickets is Wednesday, Feb. 21

The college will host a game night competition between its faculty and students. The competition goes from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Clyde Building Lounge. The college will also honor this year’s favorite faculty members from each department as voted by the students. Guests will get dinner from Costa Vida. Tickets are $5 each or 2 for $8, and can be purchased in 270 CB through Feb. 21. Cash and Cougar Cash accepted.
