Special IT Lecture: Developing International Sofware and Web sites.

Thursday, May 14th at 11:00 AM | 340 Crabtree Building

Two software developers for the Church will be discussing techniques for building websites and programs that can be developed for use in any country and across multiple languages.  Both have gained experience as they have travelled to many countries to implement Church systems in area offices throughout the world. Their experience will be valuable to anyone considering a career in the computer and IT industry.

Facilities and Property Management elect new student association president.

Domineau Wiley, a senior in Facilities and Property Management will serve as president of the FPMSA this coming school year. Domineau plans to continue improving the quality of education in the program and closing the gap between the industry and FPM graduates. Read more by clicking here.

FPM student wins trip to Amsterdam

Sam Kelly will head out to Amsterdam this summer to attend a European conference for professional facility managers. Sam won the all-expenses paid trip by submitting research that he conducted in the field of facilities management which proposed a green recycling program for the Hyatt group of hotels. BYU wins second straight top industrial design student award

A national award granted to a Brigham Young University design student represents a two-year winning streak for BYU's industrial design program. Nico Li, a senior, won the prestigous award and is planning to puruse an internship in New York City. Read more here.
