About the Innovation Boot Camp...

Dates and Times:

Each boot camp will be held on a Friday from 9AM to 2PM, and on the following Wednesday from 6PM - 8PM, in room 122 SNLB.

We will be holding four boot camps this semester:

2. February 6th and 11th
3. March 6th and 11th
4. March 28th and April 1st

About the Boot Camp:

You’ve probably never done anything like this before. We’ll admit it’s a bit on the wild side. The boot camp will be a fun and engaging hands-on experience that will help you learn the art of innovation.

But first, what is innovation? Innovation is the creation or action of starting something new. Innovation is also a product of study and experimentation.

The innovation boot camp was designed to show you that innovation isn't just for geeks in silicon valley. It's for all of us. As Tom Kelley, the director or IDEO*, says: We all have a creative side, and it can flourish if we spawn the culture to encourage it, one that embraces risks and wild ideas and tolerates the occasional failure. We’ve seen it happen.”

We will begin with some instruction in innovation, then we will apply that knowledge by working on a project. Finally, we will conclude with a competition. Come prepared to dive in, be creative, and have fun.

As an added bonus, there will be food provided on both days. The winning team will be given a certificate, and your projects will be great items for your portfolio.
