Downloading and installing a program from MSDNAA can be confusing for the first time. Below is a tutorial specifically for downloading Visio Professional 2003, but can be easily adapted for any program you may want to download.

1. Login to the MSDNAA program. See the FYI page for any questions on logging in.
2. You should be looking at the software page. You can search through a list of products, select from a dropdown list, or click on one of the highlighted ones below with the picture. Using one of these methods, open up the "Visio Professional 2003" page.
3. Most programs will at least have the option to Download and the option to do CD pickup. If you wish to pickup a CD, you can do so in 265 CTB. However, downloading is often easier and less of a hassle, so this tutorial will follow that method. Please check the Download radio box, and click Add to cart.
4. You may have to agree to some sort of TOS. Click agree to go ahead. (*note* at this point, if you have already previously downloaded the program, it will just bring up a screen that will allow you to download the program as well as list the serial number that you received previously).
5. You should now see Visio Professional in your shopping cart. Go ahead and click on "Check Out" to continue.
6. Enter in your name and information and click Next to continue.
7. You will now see a screen that is meant to be a sort of receipt. You can print it out if you would like to. On this screen, click on the link in your item list (in the Software Title column) that says Visio Professional 2003.
8. This screen brings up information about the software that you chose to download. Pay particular attention to the Serial Number, as you will need to put it in later. Then click on the Download link.
9. You will then download a "downloader" which you will then need to open to begin the download of the actual Visio Professional file. If you do not download an executable downloader (IE the file is just "Downloader"), you may need to use the Microsoft Internet Explorer browser instead of Firefox or another option.
10. Finally, install the file, using the Serial Number that you received previously. If you lost a serial number or need to re-download a file, you can always click on the "My Software" tab on the left hand side to view all the previous software that you have gotten and get any information needed there.

* Not every program you download will need a serial number, so do not worry if your program does not display one. Also, more than one serial number is often times not given out. If you have problems with the first or have special needs for another, then please contact the website administrator.
