Facilities Management students honored at national conference

Facilities Management students recently attended a conference held in New Orleans, LA., where they received top honors from the IFMA, including International Student Chapter of the Year for the fourth year in a row. The thirty BYU students and faculty that attended the conference also participated in rebuilding two fire stations that had been destroyed in Hurricane Katrina. |

TRIRIGA donates $500,000 to Facilities Management program

TRIRIGA, a Las Vegas-based facility management software company, recently donated $500,000 of software to the Facility Management program. Students in FM 360 will use the donated software in their study of current trends and practices in computer-aided facility management, computerized maintenance management systems and integrated computer-aided design applications and databases

Spencer Nugent named one of the nation’s top industrial design students

With the help of his designs for Intel and General Motors, Industrial Design student Spencer Nugent recently won a scholarship awarded by the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) to the top two undergraduates in the field. His success and his impending graduation from BYU mark the fulfillment of his, and his whole family’s dream.
