There are many scholarship opportunities for women in engineering and technology.

Society of Women Engineers

The SWE Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to women admitted to accredited baccalaureate or graduate programs, in preparation for careers in engineering, engineering technology and computer science. SWE scholarships for the 2018-2019 academic year will be available December 1, 2017! There are 2 applications depending on your class level for the upcoming fall semester and these are typically available: For sophomores through graduate students: December 1 - February 15For freshmen: March 1 - May 1

Ira A. Fulton College Scholarships

Application Deadline: March 1st (closed for 2017)

Ira A. Fulton College provides are yearly scholarships that include types such as college, study abroad, company sponsored, and other. Fellowships are also offered. Each department within the college awards scholarships. For more information on department scholarships, contact your department secretary. Be on the lookout for this scholarship application to open back up early 2018.

 

 

 

LendEDU - Scholarships for Women

With the rising costs of a higher education in mind, LendEDU has put together a Scholarships for Women resource for women interested in pursuing a college degree. Scholarships can mean the difference between a graduation debt-free or being stuck with student debt for years, so it is important to make sure you have reviewed all the possibilities.

Other Opportunities

FCA Women in Engineerig- $2500 renewable scholarship for women pursuinng Baccalaureate or graudate programs in preperation for careers in engineering, engineering technology, and computer science in the United States and Mexico. Must be a U.S. citizen. Minimum 3.0 GPA required. Open to 20 women. Apply by February 15, 2018. 

CGTrader Scholarship- Write a 500-1000 word essay on how innovative technologies are transforming our lives. For the following Winter semester the topic is: “Using games for social good and playful learning”.The best submission will be awarded $2,000 while the two runners-up will receive $500 each. Submit via online form. Apply by January 15, 2018.

AfterCollege Scholarships- They have a lofty vision: specializing in awarding current students who are passionate about their field of study and effectively demonstrate the value they will bring to their vocation. Apply by December 31, 2018.

Scholarships for Women- Has a vast collection of different scholarships for women. Always up to date and often posts new opportunities. Check back often!

EngineerGirl- Great site for finding a variety of scholarships. You have to look around the page a bit for current scholarships, but there are many incredible opportunities! 

James Dyson Award-The James Dyson Award is an international design award that celebrates, encourages, and inspires the next generation of design engineers. This annual award is open to project design, industrial design, and engineering students. It's run by the James Dyson Foundation, as part of its mission to get young people excited about design engineering. Apply by July 20, 2017. (closed for this year, stay posted for next year's information!)

Welding Scholarship- Annual $1000 scholarship. Write an essay on 1 of 6 welding topics. Apply by September 30, 2017. (Closed for this year, check back next year)
