About ProvoProvo is located in 4200 ft Utah Valley and just less than an hour south of Salt Lake City in the State of Utah and enjoys a small town atmosphere with 105,000 residents, a nice business community, and two large universities. The 11,750 foot Mount Timpanogas dominates the skyline north of the city and the 23 mile long Utah Lake is just to the west. There are numerous hotels in Provo which are convenient to the BYU campus. The international airport in Salt Lake City is the closest major airport to Provo and BYU. It is a major hub for Delta and Southwest airlines. You can either rent a car at the airport or take the Rocky Mountain Super Express shuttle service to Provo. The shuttle service can drop you off at your hotel or at the BYU Wilkinson Center.
