General Information
The midterm will be offered in the testing center from Friday, February 25, 2011 until Tuesday, March 1, 2011. There will be no makeup midterms offered so please plan accordingly. Do not wait until the last minute to take this midterm. There is a three-hour time limit (loosely enforced).

Aids
You are allowed to bring any graphing or scientific calculator.
The exam is closed book. However, you are allowed to bring one 8.5 X 11 sheet of handwritten notes on both sides. Please put any information or formulas that you think you might need for the exam. You will turn in that sheet for the exam but we will return it to you for use on the final.
Format
The exam will consist of 26 multiple-choice questions.
Practice
Make sure that you can do all of the quizzes without aids. This is excellent preparation and is a good measure of your progress. This is the reason that they are provided on this site with and without answers. Go back over your homework and make sure that you understand how to arrive at the answers. The most difficult homework problems are significantly more difficult than anything on the exam, but the approaches and intuition gained from solving homework problems will help you on the midterm. Please also check the midterms given in past years. They are excellent practice exams.
