There is a $100 cash prize to the winner of each grade level (competition is limited to students in 4th, 5th, and 6th grade. Ipads with the software will be provided to the students to use during the competition build times listed directly above. Students will only be able to design and build on these ipads during the assigned design times. However, students may take notes and make observations about what they will be building before and after school – which they can use to inform their designing and building in MineCraft. Note this is not an officially sponsored event of Mapleton Elementary – rather it is sponsored by the TEC (Technology and Engineering Club) being run at Mapleton Elementary by several BYU students in the Technology and Engineering Education program at BYU.
