Research Description

Dr. Benzley is developing computer-aided engineering software to enhance the process of structural analysis. His work centers on the finite-element method and the development of automated two- and three-dimensional mesh generation techniques. He is conducting research sponsored by Sandia National Laboratories and the "CUBIT" project.

He also conducts research on developing quality educational methods to teach engineering ethics principles. Sponsored work here is with the BYU Marriot School of Management Center for Values.
