They also visited the Design Center at Whirlpool and climbed the Sacred Mount in Varese.

Next they spent 9 days in London. Here they had visits with Industrial Facility, Seymour Powell, Peter Marigold, Barber/Osgerby and Oscar Diaz. They had a tour of The Royal College of Art, visited the John Soane Museum, The London Tower, The Design Museum, The British Museum and had a guided tour of the contemporary Design Sections at The Victoria and Albert Museum. They also took one day to travel into the English countryside to visit William Morris's grave, the Kelmscot Manor, the 13th Century Great Coxwell Barn, the bronze age Uffington White Horse, a 370 foot stylized white horse embedded on the side of a hill, and the neolithic Wayland Smitty, a long barrow tomb.

They then traveled on the Stena Line overnight Ferry from England to The Netherlands where they spent 6 days. Here they visited the Philips Design Center, Minale Maeda, Studio Makkink & Bey, and Feiz Studio.
