Important Information
The competition this year will be held during BYU's Engineering Week. By placing the competition earlier in the semester we hope that
students will find it easier to compete and now conflict with their final preparations at the end of the semester. It is quite likely that we will have a competition redux during ECEn on Display. Stay tuned for more information.
Register your team in the Department Office, 459 Clyde Building. There will only be ten slots available (2-3 students each), so sign up early to guarantee your participation.
This year, instead of using a R/C truck platform, we will take advantage of the trend to use small microcontrollers as the basis for this competition. We did not want this to be a vision-based competition, however, so the sensing mechanism will be through ultrasonic sensors.

Your $5 allocation includes things that can be bought at the shop. However, solder and hot glue and things of that nature do not have to be accounted for in that cost.
Update: January 20, 2014
Because we have so many teams, we had to put in orders for more hardware. Much of the hardware has arrived and tomorrow morning we will see if we have enough to start distributing kits to all of the teams.

Competition sign-up is now closed. We have 18 teams! We will acquire hardware to accommodate teams that signed up on the first day.

Only students will be allowed to participate. No post-docs.
