At the annual University Conference, BYU honored three Civil Engineering professors for their research and development of software that simulates ground water and surface water systems. Professors Norman L. Jones, E. James Nelson and Alan K. Zundel each received a Technology Transfer Award.

Civil and environmental professor conducts Chilean earthquake reconnaissance

Kyle Rollins, professor of civil and environmental engineering, recently returned from a post-earthquake reconnaissance visit to Chile which was subjected to a magnitude 8.8 earthquake. 

Civil engineering students to present senior projects

The senior design students of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering will be presenting posters describing their semester projects on Monday, April 12 from 11 am - 2 pm.

ECE professor co-authors book defining field

Aaron Hawkins, professor of electrical and computer engineering, is an editor of the recently-released Handbook of Optofluidics. The book is one of the first comprehensive resources on the emerging field of optofluidics, which involves the use of fluids to modify optical properties and the use of optical devices to detect flowing media.
