Dean's Message
Alan R. Parkinson

Dear ACET Members,

First, let me begin by thanking all of you for your support and efforts in helping the college progress. We are grateful for the good friends we have in our ACET members. Although we continue to move forward in our focus areas of technical excellence, leadership, global competence, character development and innovation/entrepreneurship, we have a new project to focus on.

The administration has indicated that the next big building project for the university will be a new engineering building. We have been given approval to start planning and fundraising. We are excited to be part of something that will have such a lasting impact on the university and its students. A new building will help us address our teaching and research needs for the 21^st century.

We look forward to sharing more with you during our ACET meetings in the fall.
