Global Leadership

Summary:

Students who participated in the Foundations of Global Leadership course in China learned leadership skills abroad – immersing themselves in Chinese language and culture.

Recap of the Year:

Leadership Development
As part of EngT 231, students focused on teamwork, globalization and ethical dilemma resolution. They interacted with Chinese classmates and participated in team-building activities.

Global Agility
Students gained practical experience in Chinese language, culture and history. The two-week cultural program included visits to major cities and historical landmarks in the southern and western portions of China.

Technical Experience
Technical instruction was held on the Sun Yat-Sen University Campus in Guangzhou with visits to design and manufacturing facilities across China. Students studied collaborative global forces driving the future of engineering and technology.
